Walkergate Community School has produced 36 shoeboxes filled with lovely donations from local parents and carers as part of Operation: Christmas Child. The shoeboxes will go toward children around the world affected by poverty and natural disasters.
The shoeboxes will be taken to a drop off location this week before undertaking their journey overseas to children in need. Thanks to all of our kind parents and carers who contributed lots of thoughtful and kind gifts to go inside our shoeboxes. Any gifts that didn’t fit or weren’t suitable will be donated to a local food bank and Cash for Kids as Christmas presents.
We’re super proud of all of our pupils and local community for getting involved and showing the NEAT values of collaboration and responsibility.
If you’re interested in making up your own shoebox to donate then you can find all of the relevant information on the website: https://www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child
