Thinking about secondary school? Benfield’s Open Evening is on 30 September
Benfield School, part of the NEAT family of schools, is holding its Open Evening on Wednesday 30 September 2026, 5 pm to 7 pm.
At Walkergate Community, we know Year 6 parents and carers are starting to think ahead to secondary school, so we wanted to make sure you know about this open evening at Benfield, one of our secondary schools here in Newcastle.
On the night, you’ll be able to:
- Meet staff and pupils
- Tour the facilities, including the swimming pool, gymnastics centre and 3G pitch
- Hear from the headteacher
- Learn more about Benfield and the opportunities it offers, including university partnerships and international trips
Choosing a secondary school is a big decision, and we know most families already have a good idea of where they’re heading. But it’s worth seeing your options in person before you decide, and Benfield’s open evening is a good chance to do that.
